Week 22

WEEK 22 – w/c 14/03/11 - (re-drafting ancillary task 1)

How are you using media technologies in the final evaluation stage of ancillary product 1?

I wanted to add to the main product I had to ensure that more information on the release date of the film and 5 star rating information was added to follow the audiences requests as it made it look more 'professional'. I used various USB wires to transfer my work and import it onto Adobe Premier which was the editing software we used throughout the production of the main task. I also used the internet for MP3 converters for sound effects I desired that were on Youtube.

In what ways will your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

This was the final result of my Ancillary Task 1:

The main colours used in the magazine are reds, yellows and oranges.

These same colours were encorporated in all three media products.

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

My target audience that I had previously asked advice for were pleased that I had added all the small details such as the film rating, actors name and production logos.

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

As you will see from my next post, both ancillary tasks match in colour and font style.

The main tasks which included captions 10 seconds through the trailer included the same style as the main poster.
