In what ways will your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

This was the first draft of my film magazine advertising SWOP:
This being my first draft film magazine I felt that I didn't fufill the best of my ability. However, getting feedback from my audience and teachers helped me to come up with something better for my second draft.
Like seen on the model film magazine that I researched, I added the film magazine strip as I felt this gave the magazine more of a film look. I thought I would take a picture of the actor out of character to make the magazine more personal to the character. What I failed to notice however was that my target audience being young will not be interested in the personal characters life but will be much more interested in what the film is about and the comedy behind it.
I felt like I was roughly getting a better idea of what I was suppost to be going for and my audience agreeing with me, I continued to strive for a better magazine front cover to appeal to my target audience.
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
All of the three products have the same characteristics, they are loud in colour, viabrant, expressive, eye-catching and are all targetting young adults. This is important that all of the same characteristics are encorporated into each product to keep to the same styles.
